As president of the LINK Men’s Alliance and Director of Operations for MBSA, Treijon uses his leadership positions to celebrate and encourage the retention of black and Hispanic males on campus. In addition to this, he brings them into the discussion of Environmental Justice by speaking at large Environmental events and encouraging them to attend. During his time as TA for ALS 2000, he also encouraged the African American community to participate in environmental efforts by encouraging ecoreps to work in Ujamaa, a residence that had no eco representatives prior to his own work there. He passionate about helping more African American’s to engage in the topic about environmental justice because they are the ones subjected heavily to it, and because he believes it is the key to the future.
