San Antonio, TX

Isaiah is pursuing a concurrent degree in Urban and Regional Studies and Information Science with a minor in Inequality Studies. His main campus involvement on campus is Sabor Latino Dance Ensemble, a group of 40+ dancers who educate the Cornell and Ithaca Community on Latino Culture through dance. He has worked on projects with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions aimed to increase the number of underrepresented groups at Cornell and also participated in a service learning trip in the Bronx. He has researched with Social Dynamics Laboratory on campus and the Urban Future Lab in San Antonio; both labs deal with parsing through big data gathered via social media to help explain various social phenomena. Beyond his studies, Isaiah loves to learn about Afrofuturism/Chicanofuturism and create memories with friends and family. Within the next three years, he intends to run for office in his hometown, San Antonio to give back so more people can give forward.
