Shivani is a Development Sociology major, completing minors in South Asian Studies, Asian American Studies, Inequality Studies, and Minority, Indigenous, & Third World Studies (MITWS). She is the President of South Asian Council (SAC), the Co-President of Interfaith Council, a former committee member of the Presidential Task Force on Campus Climate, the national communications coordinator for Residential Student Congress, a brother of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and a brother of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. She was Cornell’s head delegate at the 2018 South Asian Millenials’ Conference, initiated the Asian & Asian American Living Learning Unit, and is the undergraduate representative on the CALS Faculty Senate’s Committee on Diversity & Inclusion. Under her presidency, SAC won the Perkins Prize for Interracial & Intercultural Peace & Harmony.
