Rui Maki is a senior studying Global and Public Health Sciences with a minor in Human Development. She is passionate about health equity and hopes to enter into the healthcare technology industry. She has completed internships at Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement NGO in Mysore, India, and the World Health Organization headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Her on campus extracurricular activities include posts as the President of Debate in Science and Health, Vice President of Internal Affairs of Social Enterprise Group at Cornell (past: Cornell Social Venture Club), Internal Operations Chair for Mortar Board Der Hexenkreis, Research Co-Chair for Human Ecology Dean’s Undergraduate Advisory Council and Senior Advisor for International Students Union. In her free time she loves watching movies, exploring new places, and playing piano!
