Karen Loya is a Sociology major with minors in Latina/o Studies, Inequality Studies, and Spanish. She is currently the president of La Asociación Latina, a Mellon Mays fellow, and a Rawlings Presidential Research scholar. She has previously been president of Early College Awareness, a member of Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Azatlán, and on two committees planning the Latinx Ivy League Conference. In addition, she works as an intern for the Latinx Student Success Office. In her free time, she likes to play her ukulele, practice her photography skills, and read classic novels.
