Jaylexia Clark is a senior at Cornell University studying Industrial and Labor Relations. As a Ronald E. McNair Scholar and Public Service Scholar she hopes to conduct research on workers’ rights and the advancement of international labor standards. Through her participation in programs such as ILR in Dublin and through her internship at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, she has been able to learn more about the world of work and how the oppression of laborers is a fundamental injustice that affects Africans and African Americans across the globe. In the future, Jaylexia hopes to obtain a law degree and a doctoral degree and use her higher education to advance justice in the field of labor worldwide.
